Manubloc 3000 is geared motor with parallel gears used to adapt the speed of the electric motor to that of the driven machine. Their size is therefore determined by the motor power (P) expressed in kilowatts (kW) and the output rotation speed of the gearbox (nS) in revolutions per minute (min-1). Our generator has rated power 250 W with rated speed of 1425 min-1. MBS 9300, Low pressure transmittersCompact pressure transmitter programme, MBS 9300 is designed for use in marine applications e.g. crankcase and turbocharger filters monitoring as well as applications within level measurement. The programme covers 4 – 20 mA output signal, gauge versions, measuring span from 40 – 250 mbar as well as bidirectional ranges e.g. -70 – 70 mbar etc. This pressure transmitters are temperature compensated and have excellent shock and vibration robustness.For the needs of the Archimeds turbine project, these two sensors will be used on the water suction system that returns the water from the bottom pool of the testing station to the upper pool of testing station. Frequency converter ABB ACS355-03E-01A2-4+J404 has been donated by ALETA d.o.o.A frequency converter is a device that converts alternating current (AC) of one frequency to alternating current of another frequency. Coupling is a component used to connect a drive shaft and a driven part, for example, a motor shaft and a ball screw for the purpose of transmitting the torque. Also, coupling introduces mechanical flexibility enabling misalignment for the shafts. As a result, this coupling flexibility can prevent uneven wear, vibration, and other mechanical problems due to misalignment.Lindis has donated three flexible couplings. These are aluminum couplings with an internal diameter of 15 mm and can withstand a torque of up to 10 Nm. To ensure the transmission of the torque from Archimedes screw to the torque meter and the transmission of torque from the torque meter to the generator, we needed 2 shafts. TECTRA has donated us a multimeter of KBM systems that we will set up at the AC generator output.
